could I be eligible for constructive dismissal?

Background: we are in Canada Quebec, I worked there for 5 years and have been team leader for 4 and a half years. I have accumulated north of 7000 hours there as a part time student. My foreman informed me out of the blue via text today that I was being demoted effective immediately I was told that if I had questions, to communicate with the store manager. I politely organized a meeting with my foreman and the store manager, and they accepted I meet with them tomorrow. They have not given me any negative feedback concerning my work, and I do not think I have been written up. Background: we are in Canada Quebec, I worked there for 5 years and have been team leader for 4 and a half years. I have accumulated north of 7000 hours there as a part time student.

My foreman informed me out of the blue via text today that I was being demoted effective immediately

I was told that if I had questions, to communicate with the store manager.

I politely organized a meeting with my foreman and the store manager, and they accepted

I meet with them tomorrow.

They have not given me any negative feedback concerning my work, and I do not think I have been written up. While they have given me verbal warnings for some things over the years, I do no think my boss writes that stuff up.

If I ask them to open up my file and its blank, and if they cannot give me a concrete reason other than “we felt that you have been less productive” or some other generic response, how do I prove this consists of constructive dismissal so that I could get a severance? I could really use the money.

Thanks guys
