Count the red flags.

So I work at Schlotsky’s. Boss came to night shift (5-close; primarily high schoolers) today and said they can’t make their own food. And we don’t have an open fridge (we used to. Not sure what happened to it). So these are kids and they’re hungry and not all of them can pay for food every night even with the employee discount. This is the latest in a long list of last straws (two other notable examples being that the new hires are making more than me, the second-most senior employee at four months. The owner’s wife chewed me out in the lobby for checks notes sitting down in the bakery between batches for about a minute and checking my phone BEFORE we closed. The whole store heard. She even called me lazy and ungrateful, nvm that I show up nearly every damn day I’m on schedule- not counting sick…

I’m DONE. The ONLY reason I’m staying rn is that I don’t have another job lined up, so striking it is. Fuck this place.
