I got a six-month temp job thru an agency, and only after the interview they told me it's a maternity cover. I thought OK why not just give it a shot?
On my first day, my RO told me I'll be covering another person going for Maternity Leave, and unless they find a new temp covering this other person, this means I'll have to cover a total of two persons' full workload. It's now been two months and they have yet to find someone else to help me.
I've been voicing out my concern about the steep curve having to learn two vastly different portfolios in such a short time but the excuse they gave me is always the same – the learning experience.
With the ever-piling workload and endless meetings of never-ending changing of work amendments, I've been losing sleep.
Just wanna rant here, but I think the pay they gave me just doesn't justify this job. =/
