Covid rule change? Help me understand.

Last night, Wednesday, I called both the GM and my supervisor to let them know I had to stay home with a sick kid. She's 8 and couldn't go to school with a fever. Wife was concerned and gave her a covid test at approx. 5pm Thursday. Came up positive, sent both GM and Supervisor a text stating she was positive and I would see them Monday. Not only do I need to care for my sick kid but I was also exposed to her all day. Someone needs to be the caregiver right?? GM texts me back wanting a positive test result. WTF like I'm lying? So what if she didn't have covid? Just a fever, bad cold, light cold! I really don't give a shit. One of the other employees paid for a background check service. Searched the GM and found out about his past armed robbery felony…

Searched the GM and found out about his past armed robbery felony convictions, I already knew about, and this dude started telling other staff.

I don't care what kind of person you are but this shit is out of line. I reported snitch employee POS to the CEO as I knew the CEO knew about the Felony.

Now I'm getting this power play shit? I doubt GM has even heard yet, I hope he never hears how I tried to protect him.

Oh, the covid testing for anyone other than the employee is outside the company policy. I told him it wasn't me and sent it anyway. Because I'm a good f'ing employee!

I've got so much more it's such a shitshow right now.

Top two employees, including myself, have one foot out the door. I have everything in place to leave and start a competing business I just wanted to honor a non enforceable non-compete because I generally like the CEO.

The number two guy is about to start his own business. I set him up with my business lender to get him going. He literally has days before a decision then he's out.

All the management is new within 5 months, some ride the struggle bus to work every day.

Oh, I've got more. Do you care to hear? Am I out of my mind with this? Please let me know.

Sorry this is all on mobile.
