To preface this my job is pretty well paying and I like most of my coworkers. Yet, there is one I can’t stand. She’s one of those people who can’t let there be silence and has to make every conversation about herself or her personal life. I work in a space where we need at least one person to stay in the lobby Incase a customer needs assistance, which I’ve found is not a big deal because the other coworkers usually don’t take lunch or eat lunch at their workspace. But this one coworker likes to make “jokes” when I politely ask if I’m good to take my lunch like: “Ummmm no you can’t!” Or “ Actually no THATS not okay!” Which really pisses me off, I get an hour LUNCH to EAT LUNCH so I’m gonna take it. I’ve started to completely ignore her comments which makes her reply after seconds of awkward silence: “ohhh haha….Just joking”. Any other suggestions on how to handle this?
