Told my boss I'm in for possibly a hernia, giving her 16 hours of notice that I may not be able to open in the morning. It's a small store and she'll be there. No concern in her voice whatsoever, just annoyance. The entire conversation was her telling me that I MYSELF need to call so-and-so to see if they can cover. Nothing on the fact that I'm waiting to see if I need surgery. The kicker? If I do have a hernia, it 100% happened at work yesterday.
