Currently on a vacation. Got a text from my boss that I owe them money.

I am a server at a restaurant and a party came in last week, and they asked for a $60 gift card at the end of the meal. I told the customers exactly what I was charging them for and they did not tell me to use the cash towards the gift card. The cash wasn’t on the table until I charged their card. That’s a tip, the way I see it, since they already paid?
