Dead end call centre job is trying to bully me into 4 weeks notice (UK) can they do this?

Hello all, as the title suggests really. I work in a dead call centre for a telecom company. Been ok as temporary job whilst I got my life sorted out, now bailing back out of the UK and working abroad in just under a month. Anyway I decided I'd like to see some friends along the way and have a bit of a holiday before starting at my new job overseas, I.e. travel and then head to my final destination.

So I gave my notice in today and booked all of my relevant leave so it's with effect for one weeks notice as I read on the UK employment law that's all I legally have to give.

I timed it so I can visit friends and family in the UK before I leave yet now my boss is potentially trying to mess it all up by saying “no the notice is 4 weeks, if you run out of holiday that's a problem, we'll need to push it forward.” I.e. he means making me come in for 4 or 5 more days and not letting me leave next week as planned. Trouble is I already have all of my dates booked for travel etc and I simply can't budge.

Is there anything they can do that might fuck me over?
