I am not even going to attempt to hide the name of the business. I've been working at UAB Hospital for the past 11 months in I.T. Typically we have massive workloads due to having over 20,000 employees. My boss has said my work is great and I am one of the better members of the team and have been for sometime. But, today of all days they decide to send out a general cookie cutter email letting employees know if they got a raise or not. When I mean cookie cutter i mean it with slogans such “Due to the financial position of the hospital”. Words can not describe how angry I am, considering a co-worker of mine who shows up to work late everyday for the past 5 months and has been told by our boss to start showing up on time got a raise. The fact they think it was good timing to send this before Christmas of all times is just incredible. So yeah, if you were thinking about working at UAB Hospital in Birmingham think again.
