Despite having a higher wage, I’ve made less money than I did this time last year.

For context, I'm in the UK and have had (three, rather small wage increases but enough to be noticable now with it about £2.5 an hour total added on). I've just been paid today and checked how much I've made versus the year before. I've made £400 less this month than I was a few months ago and then more from this time last year. This is mostly due to the hours of contracts not being honoured because of how the Company I work for has recently changed how the calculate hours being used (Now it's units sold rather than just revenue that add to the equation they use for hours). This has cut my hours down totally as I'm hardly doing even over time now. It's ridiculous that companies rather than actually pay or handle hours fairly, they're shafting every worker imaginable. Sorry if this isn't the right place…

Sorry if this isn't the right place to put this rant (It's this tbh), but it seemed right for the nature of the sub reddit, my apologies.
