My husband called me this morning to tell me that his CEO gave some cheesy announcement about why it’s important to work in an office and basically saying that everyone is now required to return to office without giving any real reasons. A lot of teams have been working remotely still so that ends that.
Sure enough within hours my department president sent out an email saying that there is a mandatory minimum of two days in office requirement for everyone starting in March and that it’s going to be monitored and reported to our managers. My team’s requirement was two days in office but I would honestly just WFH if my manager was on vacation or I would come in and leave early if I got there and saw that he wasn’t there. So now I’m wondering how much is going to be reported.
We don’t work for the same company or even in the same field. And I think it’s an odd coincidence. Anyone else??
I’ve been looking for a remote job and it seems like there’s almost nothing available anywhere unless you’re at the senior level. This really sucks.
