People are really struggling and there are huge job cuts looming so the senior management have jumped on the thread to tell us that we’ll only make things worse for ourselves if we go on strike. “Industrial action will put us further into the red”. So angry right now. Also lots of emotional blackmail. The sad thing is, lots of employees are agreeing and there are messages from colleagues saying we should all go back to the office full time, in the vein of “I’m suffering so everyone else should suffer too”. Commuting every day will tip my finances well into the danger zone, not to mention the fact I’m happier, healthier and more productive at home. I feel like we’ve lost all the gains and leverage that Covid ended up presenting us with. What’s with people?!
