Discriminatory attendance practices?

Please forgive any formatting, I am on mobile. I work at a call center with a rather intense attendance policy/points system that just changed to become even more intense. I found out through a coworker that any pregnancy related call offs, do not count against you. Is this legal? If so, how? I am in Ohio.
