Disneyland workers/ex-workers – I want to hear your stories

I've never worked at any of the Disneylands/worlds in the US myself, but over the last few months I've heard a lot about the strikes that have been taking place in Florida and I also watched Abigail Disney's documentary on how it's not such a fairytale to work there (she interviews cast members who have to work second jobs to get by and many of those interviewed have said they have known other Disney staff who are homeless and/or on food stamps). This is abhorrent for a company whose CEO, Bob Iger, is expected to receive $27m annually and I also heard Bob Chapek is going to get a healthy exit salary of $20m. It's shocking to see one of the world's wealthiest companies paying its park and resort staff way below the living wage. Anyway, what I want to ask is, if you've worked or you're working at Disneyland/Disney…

Anyway, what I want to ask is, if you've worked or you're working at Disneyland/Disney World, I want to hear about your experience – it doesn't even have to necessarily be bad (it would be good to hear not everyone who works at Disney is depressed!). But I'm particularly curious to hear from those who experienced issues whilst working there such as inadequate pay, dire working conditions, being treated unfairly by other staff etc. This includes those who have been on the college programme too. This is out of pure curiosity and also if people share their stories, it spreads awareness of what needs to change.

I look forward to your responses.
