Do companies actually check if youve worked a minimum wage job like say walmart or mcdonalds????

I heard from a quora post I read earlier today that companies don't bother checking minum wage jobs you worked because employers in your future career feild don't consider working at a fast food restaurant or a cashier at Walmart a real job. I don't know how accurate thus is but thus mans we have been all taught a lie about what jobs that don't and do matter.
