I’ve been impacted by tech layoffs and before I got into insights and analytics, I had a career as a consultant in professional services. I HATED IT. the culture, the work, it was all terrible and I hate that I felt so pressured to take the big 4 name straight out of college. I just got through my final interview with a big 4 and they said they’d be in touch with next steps. I had to ask myself: if I get the job, which would pay well and keep me from being unemployed, do I actually want it? Would it be stupid to not take it? I hate the work so much and even though I’m good at it, I left for a reason.
