Do I have to go to the doctor if I write an incident report?

I wrote an incident report because I hurt my back helping a resident not fall. I made an incident report because my last manager said to make one even if I just cut my finger because I never know, it could get infected. I thought the same with this, just in case I get back problems at least I have a paper trail of where they came from. My new manager read my incident report about my back and the near fall and told me the only way they can keep it on my file is if I go get looked at by the doctor and bring them a note? I’ve made loads of incident reports (not just this job) and I’ve never heard of this before so I’m wondering is this for real? Like do I actually have to go to the doctor for my back that isn’t even…
