I’m in FL and work in a small company. Thankfully my boss seems very understanding, however all the other people I work with who’re “above” me, seem to be ignoring the fact that there’s going to be a hurricane. They usually work from home anyway and don’t really have any regard for us in the office. Is there any law stating we have to come in during the event of a hurricane??? Tried googling around and apparently you can be fired if you don’t show up. That’s ridiculous and I doubt my boss wouldn’t understand. However the others I work with seem like they’d be more judgemental and make it an issue. but im not fucking risking my life while they sit at home w their kids in the comfort of their own home.
