Hello, all- I am reaching closer to thirty now, but for all of my life, I have been fairly conservative. After seeing and working in other places in the world years back, seeing how much debt I have for getting my graduate degree, my friends from overseas visit multiple countries in just a year, friends in even developing nations getting maternity, paid sick leave up to thirty days, and vacation with a minimum of twenty to thirty days (separate from vacation), I have begun to almost despise conservatism and liberals alike. In these places, medical debt is unheard of, student debt is minimal if at all, and everyone has separate time to be sick and time for several vacations every year. They are in the same relative middle class that I am in. They have less stress because the system isn't working to keep them in debt. Also, their annual checkup is paid by their taxes and it even includes an annual x-ray and EKG. The hypocrisy in Congress passing the PPP loan forgiveness and fighting student loan forgiveness was my final straw with Republicans. I can't stand many democrats either. When you factor healthcare premiums and our tax rates, we pay more than my friends in these countries. These are mainly Asian developing countries not developed European nations. I feel like the people in this nation are getting behind and can't see it. What do I do? What do we do? Anyone else feeling the same?
