Does anyone else hate how “what you do for work” always becomes a topic when you are with extended family?

Went to a wedding earlier this week. And met a few people from extended family and friends who were at the same table. It feels so awful when the topic of work comes up. One guy is a software engineer at Microsoft making 150k at 23 years old. A 26 year old girl who was very cute is finishing up med school. Everyone is doing well for themselves, and then, there is me, 26 year old who couldn’t get a job for 2 years after finishing a psychology degree and now stuck working at an amazon warehouse. It’s so embarrassing, I hate it
