I quit Enterprise Rent-A-Car in 2019 and I had an absolutely majestic 2 week notice draft saved in my company email. Full of thank you's and appreciate the opportunity and all that BS.
I got into it with my boss one day really bad. I said I couldn't stand to be there any longer. She said “are you tendering your resignation?”. I said yes, pulled out my phone and clicked send.
Her look of shock was so satisfying. To this day I still remember it. Beautiful.
I'm now with a better company but still hate my life as a wage slave. I have another “I quit” draft saved, but this time there's no courtesy or fanfare. It just says “this is my formal two week notice of resignation, last day ___(insert last day here)___”
PS: Do -NOT- work for Enterprise/National/Alamo. You will regret it forever.
