I was recently working at a company that has many issues regarding labor regulations. For example, they got my pay wrong many times (and I’ve heard the same for others), I literally only had time to take lunch a few times over the course of months of being there, and never had time for other breaks. As far as pay goes, it’s gotten so complicated to track whether or not I’m still owed anything and by my estimation it’s close enough for me to not care. However, I was literally one of the only people checking to make sure my pay rates and hours were correct so I’m fairly certain that my old coworkers have been victims of wage theft.
Because of this, I want to request an audit due to possible gross wage theft and labor violations for the sake of the people still working there. Is this even possible?
