Doing my annual training and I read that you can pay someone under the age of 20 less than minimum wage within the first 90 days of employment?

I’m shocked! I was doing my annual training and it popped up and said that anyone under the age of 20 can be paid as low as $4.50 within the first 90 days of employment but it must be raised to minimum wage after 90 days. How is this legal? I’m in TN, btw. I’ve been with the company six years and I make a halfway decent salary but this was just in my training and I have NEVER heard of this. I’m sick of this. We truly are in the bad place.
