Currently working in utilization review and reported some problems to management regarding employee concerns. I am currently in a position where I act as a resource or advisor for other reviewers. They often express discontent and I attempt to console them and smooth things over. Recently I was told that my internal audits would be provided with my name and audit details to the person and this would directly effect their bonus. I expressed my concern that this would cause internal discontent and a poor company culture.
I was demoted. I have consistently been their highest producer recently and have received multiple awards for it. I consistently receive greater than the maximum quarterly bonus for hitting my numbers, yet was told that they would be taking away my responsibilities and giving me additional time to watch company training videos so that I could be more comfortable having tough conversations with those that I complete training/coaching.
I'm so pissed. I would have quit if I wasn't so financially screwed by our education system. I have multiple health issues and cannot go back to treating patients in the clinic.
Just feeling really defeated and depressed. The stress is going to likely cause a flare in my symptoms and since they took away my duties I will now have a greater demand that will also likely result in more pain.
Should I try to make this work or look for another remote position?
