I gave my two week notice to my job a week ago. My boss didn’t even respond to me and has been ignoring me since. Since obviously he doesn’t respect me enough to speak to me, I told them today that Friday was my last day. I know I need to drop off my company key. I told them I would do that tomorrow, since I know there will be staff there. The business isn’t open to the public tomorrow. His response was “Dropping the key off tomorrow would be inappropriate and we would respectfully ask that you return it during normal business hours so that we can finish paper work, get a letter of resignation or at least a signed letter with your final paycheck. We will have time Monday at 1pm.”
Do I have to legally sign anything? I used Slack to tell them I’m leaving, so there is a trail. Can I drop the key off on his desk and take a picture tomorrow? I really don’t want to meet with him or sign anything.
