I manage a team of five employees for a small nonprofit. Due to recent medical issues I was absent from work for three weeks. My team did an absolutely fantastic job of covering for me while I was gone especially with it being our busiest time of year. I have no control over their salaries, as that comes from our executive director. However I have recommended that each member of my team receive some sort of additional financial compensation for their great work. In the mean time, I wanted to see if anyone had any ideas for something I could do for my team to show them appreciation. I see a lot of post here bashing shitty employee appreciation efforts and I don’t want to be that guy. Any unique ideas that would actually show employees they are appreciated?
