Employee evaluations.

I am a supervisor at my place of employment. I have a team of 6 working under me and I had to do their yearly evaluations. They all got great scores from me, with detailed reasons why. Even the guy they hired because he’s “family” and does the bare minimum got a good review from me because this is how they base their shitty pay raises, so I want everyone to get the max amount of money they can. The problem is, the owner of this company reviews the evaluations and then ADDS NOTES for me to then change my review of the people I work with everyday. I meet with HR to go over them on Friday, and I’m wondering if I go in offensive or let them say their piece and then go defensive. Either way I’m not changing shit.
