This is taking place in BC, Canada. This is my partner's story.
My partner quit their job recently and was paid with 1 week's worth of severance on March 18. Their previous employer just reaching out today on March 23 claiming that they mistakenly gave too much severance and requested majority of it back.
The past employer is claiming my partner worked less than they actually did and that they should've been paid less.
Is my partner legally obligated to return this money? Or do their past employers have no legal standing to make this request?
