Employer Gave Me A Raise (on top of the raise I got in April) due to inflation. More employers should follow this example!

Earlier this week we had an email come out to everyone in our company, and my company's pretty large. They informed us in the email that they would be doing a minimum wage increase. I looked through the email and didn't really think anything of it, I had been given a pretty hefty raise in April already after being with the company for one year, and I didn't think I would qualify, but I was already happy with the pay that I had. I feel like I'm about to get in trouble, but nope. He gets on the line to tell me that he just wanted to let me know I'm part of this minimum wage increase.

In the letter for my merit increase, they specifically stated they are doing this because they understand the hardships inflation is bringing about to afford essential things.

Other companies should be following this example. I feel privileged to have an employer who is this well tuned to the world and its employees' needs. I wish every employer had the same approach!
