As title says, been trying to book a week off because I’m exhausted and need a mental break, before I have a mental break. Been trying to book since September and still get refused. I was originally told to book 2 weeks in advance but still never granted. Tried to book 2 months in advance and still cannot due to “not enough in the budget”.
What’s the point in granting me holidays I cannot use, or do they want me to plan my entire year for them in advance.
They recently also let nearly the entire work force off for Eid due to it being a religious holiday, fair enough as most of the staff is Muslim, but why couldn’t I get Christmas off in the same respect? Or any time off in the same respect. We were so understaffed for Eid but clearly they are scared to touch Islamic religious holidays due to the nature of it but will gladly not grant me and time off for 7 months and work me non-stop.
Is there anything at all I can do? UK btw
