So, I have been employed at a tech startup for just over 4 years. I have been on maternity leave the past 12 weeks and go back to work next week. Small company, less than 30 employees ATM.
Our marketing people are obsessed with AI and have created a fake “business development” employee that they run email campaigns through and have also made a computer-generated headshot and a LinkedIn profile. I think it's obnoxious. But even weirder…
I was on LinkedIn the other day and found the profile as a suggested connection since we “work together.” I clicked on the profile and literally, the entire about me section was copy and pasted FROM MY LINKEDIN. Verbatim. No changes.
I don't even know how to approach this. It's so bizarre. The people who made the profile have been covering for me over leave. Wtf??
