I work from home due to my diagnosis making me unable to drive. My work setup has 5 different things that have to be plugged in all at the same time or most of it won't work. I have been using a UPC that was given to me from the company. It recently broke down making me unable to operate my setup.
Up on reaching out to my manager Ive been told the equipment is being phased out and I have to find a solution myself. But it has to be able to support the equipment and have a battery like the UPC. I told my manager that the company should be paying for whatever I buy due to the fact that the company equipment broke and now I'm unable to operate anything unless I buy something I didn't need to before. They claim I need to have an operable electrical source for equipment and they will take disciplinary action if I can't follow the basic requirements for the job. I am unable to leave and I don't have the money to get this replacement. Every day I don't go to work They're marking me absent.
What should I do? I'm very frustrated.
