I work at one of the largest tech companies in the world, maybe the largest, I won't name the company but if you're paying attention it's a really big deal. They pay us good, it's like over $20 an hour and you don't need an education, the job is to sit there and monitor tools and notify the engineers when something needs fixed. It's pretty much the easiest most well paying job you could ask for in the modern day with all benefits you could think of. 12 hours, 3 days on 4 days off then reverse. I hate working in an office for someone else's profit. At the same time the level of work while not physically intensive at all is quite mentally taxing, you need to be smart and engaged. I've realized I kind of just want to exist and not beholden to the schedule set by my boss, I want to make my own hours and money is not a big motivator for me. I don't care about anything other than not having to work when I don't feel like it.
