I got into programming cause I think it's fun but mostly cause my whole life people were telling me that if I get a CS degree then I'll graduate and immediately start making 6 figures. I graduated in December after 6 years of college and immediately learned that shit was a lie. It took me months to get so much as a response from any company and now that I finally managed to get hired somewhere I'm barely making ends meet. And looking around I still feel pretty lucky. What the fuck is happening?
