Fired for contracting covid from unsafe conditions. Not going to sue but I want to share my story.

I was so happy with this new job. I was in unsafe conditions where they failed to contain a large scale covid outbreak in a crammed building. Although I always wore a mask, I got covid from work. I called in sick immediately when I had symptoms. I was in total isolation the entire time I was down, and it was hell. I can proudly say I did not go in while sick, and I isolated from my partner and didn't give it to him. I missed 8 days of work total because I still had symptoms for 3 extra days. I came back as soon as possible, powering through my body still needing rest. I was fired my 2nd day back. I was told by my boss (who never was involved in training me or what I did on a daily basis) that I was not where I needed…

I was told by my boss (who never was involved in training me or what I did on a daily basis) that I was not where I needed to be and it wasn't working. I had only received positive feedback from who was training me, and more specifically was told I was doing a great job the entire time I worked there. I never recieved negative feedback from my boss, and only on one occasion she complimented me. She was never around and barely spoke to me.The coworker who trained me told me after I was fired, my boss said I was gone for too long.

Her reason when she fired me was that I was too slow and not where I needed to be, which was entirely false. She fired me exactly 30 days after being hired. I guess that was my 30 day review? Just immediately being told I was fired, and being escorted out like i was dangerous. There was no proof of my failings, I know for a fact I was doing excellently.

She hired a 2nd person for this role which was clearly for 1 person. (I was hired first). She really liked that person. I feel she needed an excuse to fire me so she could keep her friend.

I was wrongfully fired for contracting a disease they failed to contain. I'm not even fully recovered, I have terrible tinnitus and I can't afford a doc visit with no insurance

I am too broken and afraid to sue. I am reporting them to OSHA and going to try to apply for unemployment…. but right now I am just so depressed it's unreal. I feel like I've never been this low before. I was so careful to avoid covid. Now I'm jobless and sick.
