I don’t want to get into the particulars because it’ll identify me, but there have been pretty severe cases prior to me, and frankly, I don’t know how the management team didn’t catch them. I was let go for what was originally supposed to be a suspension because I only had a verbal at that point on my record.
It’s just so frustrating because I put so much of my time, energy, blood, sweat, and tears into that place, cared way more than the average employee, but when the incident happened, to them I was worth far less than the political statement firing me would have had (which, from what I heard, backfired).
I was asked if I had learned my lesson, and yes, I did. Hard work means nothing to upper management, and don’t get caught next time. Half of the employees did or currently does what I did to get fired. Why oh why did it have to be me?
