So, I recently graduated college (december grad), and I landed a job as a law-enforcement victim advocate (after interning with the same establishment). Well everything was going well until my supervisor started showing her true colors. She would micromanage everything that I do, give me other people’s caseload (caseload from her friends who would just chill at the job), critique everything that I do (she wasn’t training me correctly but I was unaware at the time), and have other supervisors “lookout” for me, aka, tell her my every move. Well I finally got tired of it and I snapped on her. I told her how I felt (led to me yelling) and she ended up scheduling a meeting with her, myself, and the director. Well the director sided with her and the day after that, I was fired. They stated that I was “insubordinate” and had poor job performance, which is funny because they were just saying how I was a great worker.
I’m not sad or anything, because I left with my dignity/stood on what I said. I just needed to vent.
