Not sure how common this is but I was fired from my job on my third day. It was an entry-level position and I made it very clear I had no experience in several interviews and was assured they would train me.
Got a phone call while driving in saying my employment was terminated for “not following procedure”, even though the entire time I was there with an experienced employee and nobody said a word to me lol. So it's impossible that's the reason I was fired.
The best part is the lady who called me thanked me for being “cool about this”, like she wanted me to get mad over the phone just so she could hear my reaction.
I've never been fired from a job before let alone in 3 days of employment. Can't file for unemployment unfortunately since I was only there for 3 days so now I gotta go back to my old job and beg for that back. Part of me would rather go broke trying to be self-employed than work for $4 dollars above minimum wage at an entry-level job, just to barely survive.
