I'm brand new to a manufacturing engineering position that was left neglected for the past 3 years. (Old guy was laid off due to covid). Now there's a pile of shit of unresolved problems from the last 3 years, and I'm still trying to learn and pick though it.
I was chewed out today by a technician for not fixing obviously broken procedures that I only just learnt about. They went on to tell me that my position is pointless and it's not worth their breath telling me what's wrong or broken because I won't fix it anyway.
Moral is at an all time low now, and I feel like everything I do it met with more resistance and hate. I've only been in this position for 3 months, and I'm just realizing how bad things are in Industrial United States.
