This is my first time posting in this sub. Today I found out I'm being transferred to an office an hour away from my house. I have been occasionally working at this location since December. When the manager contracted covid and they needed someone to cover.
There is no work from home option in my field. My district manager promised me a management position the next time one becomes available.
I did a quick search for other career options in the area I live in. I'm not able to find any of that pay what I'm making. Without doing intense manual labor. Or without significant travel requirements.
I feel so defeated. I now have to work with a bigot on a routine basis. I can't afford to quit my job.
