A while back I posted about creating free alternatives to paid for software. A week ago I finally just deployed my first application/website I mentioned in the post.
It's not completely done and I'm still adding new things. But it's a resume building application that so far just builds a very simple resume. I'm always looking for criticism as I'm trying to pursue web development professionally. Feel free to check it out, link is at the bottom of the post.
Things I'm planning for the future:
I plan to remove the street address input because I feel it's irrelevant on a resume.
Update the styles and make it feel more modern.
Fix up the mobile phone styles.
Add way more resume templates.
If I can figure it out, add the ability to download a word doc so the users can fine tune their resume.
Try to make it a single page application.
Check it out here www.pyresume.com
Edit: I'm also planning to add a navigation bar. At the time I didn't feel it was necessary. Also, fixing that horrendous footer.
