I'll start off by saying I am very fortunate in that I have a financial-secure salaried job that i am generally happy with. HOWEVER. Our company was purchased by a larger corporation last fall. We had a webinar yesterday explaining our new benefits, including health insurance options. It's just SO frustrating how complicated all the different plans are. And of course when trying to compare to our current plans, they are like “Oh well we can't compare apples to oranges; your current plan has HSA and WE offer HRA which is WAY BETTER”. They didn't even bother to mention how much this will cost out of our paycheck each month. I am so sick of our insurance being tied to our jobs, and how confusing it all is. It's like calculus! I wish we had universal health care.
