Frustrating that to deal with inflation, businesses just raise prices while individuals can’t just raise the cost of their labor.

I don't see any way for the average person to survive in this world without the minimum wage and average salaries increasing to account for inflation. It can't just be that businesses get to raise prices to keep up with inflation and pass that on to the consumer without the consumer being able to afford it. It doesn't make sense. The people in charge of making this happen have no motivation to help the poor because it does not affect them. This is supposed to be a democracy! How come we can't pass laws that benefit the majority?
