Hey guys, I recently interviewed for a fintech position. The recruiter asked what my salary expectation is and I mentioned that my absolute bare minimum is X amount. Now, normally when I’m asked that question, I counter-ask with what their salary range is but I was a little flustered as I thought the interview may not have been going so well. The recruiter mentioned that my X amount fell into their range but I’m not sure how truthful that was. The position is Payment Operations Analyst.
If I’m given another interview, how would y’all recommend I leverage a higher salary?
