We have to get our bags checked because we work in retail which is no big deal to me… BUT I notice that when I clock out for the end of my shift, my boss purposely will go help a customer after you clock out so that you stand there waiting for 20 minutes to get your bags checked. I didn’t completely mind when it was once or twice. Like, I get that customers come first but what if I had a place I needed to be asap. I don’t even think that should matter. But last week I probably waiting a total of an hour to get my bag checked. I wouldn’t have clocked out if I knew that would happen but they make us clock out. Otherwise you have to stay clocked in past your shift and be strategic. You have to wait for business to slow down.. then clock out.. but you’re still lucky if your bag gets checked. I can tell when people do things on purpose.. this is one of them (my boss is a narcissist)
