I’m not going to include too many details but I got a promotion at work last month resulting in more responsibilities and way more work to do overall. Obviously this promotion was supposed to come with a pay raise but my past two checks have been at the same pay rate I have been receiving since I started. I contacted my boss about this and long story short he said that the pay raise will come after 90 days from when I “officially” started working my new position which was 2 weeks ago (keep in mind that I have been actually working/training in this position for over a month now). All I want to know is this common at other work places? I have never personally heard of a “probation” period being a thing for a promotion.
