I put in a vacation notice the other day and I saw an email that says manager denied paid time off request. I put this notice in for a vacation that my whole family included extended family is going on. Took off mon-fri and that mon again because we’ll be flying back late night Sunday.
Manager has been unavailable all morning. I’ll be going to him this afternoon to see what the issue is with my requested PTO. I don’t understand, even if the issue is someone else taking a vacation at that time I’m still giving many months notice for him to figure out that week. I plan on going either way because this is the last time my grandparents are going to be-able to go.
Am I wrong for this? Any advice/recommendations?
