Or more like in 4 hours. Honestly don't care if it's a bad financial decision, I can feel myself going nowhere and my anxiety keeps me up all night before another dreadful work day. I drive way too much, have to put up with shit office staff who don't even understand what I do, and policy changes that keep me on my toes every week.
My schedule gets changed on a near daily basis, no doubt because people are calling out for the same reasons I'm about to quit for. I just went from a 7 to 4 day work week as well, which sounds great. In reality it made me realize how much I dread this job when I have even a moment to think about how shitty it is. The only reason they put me on 4 days a week is because “I'm one of their top 5, maybe top 3” employees, and when I threatened to quit last month they had to scramble just to keep me. Still am working upwards of 15 hour days so I really don't feel any better during the week.
Think I'm going to take a couple weeks off and then work part time at some mindless job for a while. Maybe I'll get back into landscaping like I did in highschool since it's almost summer. Literally anything else than this job will be an upgrade, don't even care about the pay or benefits at this point. If there's a way I can make quitting this job work I will find it. Good riddance
