I've been sick for five days (not COVID), called out Friday, Monday and today. Tomorrow, I'm going back to work while still sick, because at my job, after three days we have to go on short term disability with Sedgwick, and they're a fucking nightmare to deal with. Not only that, but I had to use PTO for two of those days, as I don't get any paid sick time until day three, and day four has to go to the hellhole that is Sedgwick.
Anyone else that would rather just deal with just about anything before having to communicate with those soulless monsters?
Also, it's unfathomable that anyone should have to use personal time or not get paid to start home when sick, to avoid spreading any virus to customers and coworkers, especially when losing that time could mean literal bankruptcy for many people.
