Got a quiet promotion to fill a ex-coworker role, after 3 months of trials. Boss verbally “promise” the raise in a performance review. Pay date came, and boss said it will happen next month. Today received an email that pay increase in next next month.

It was my mistake that it was not in writing for the initial change of role and the performance review. Is there any point getting into lawsuit? nothing officially has been signed. I know quitting is an option, a strong one, base on how i am treated. I am still looking forward for the said raise because it is a significant increase (~60%). If I act my wage of the promoted position, can I work on a deal with the time adjusted until the salary is adjusted? I think I've answered myself, but I still wanted to rant…
